How Live-In Care Works?

Cooking and Shopping

Diet is incredibly important to a person’s health and wellbeing. Someone with Alzheimer’s may not be able to cook for themselves (or to cook and eat as healthily) as they would in the past. When you think about it, there are just so many ways that someone with dementia attempting to cook for themselves could go wrong.

Our caregivers can prepare each meal so that it’s delicious as well as healthy, made for any diet (no matter how stringent). Beyond that, our caregivers can handle all of the aspects of shopping, too. That way, you don’t have to worry about your loved one in the grocery store, the mall, or anywhere else. Instead, you can have the peace of mind that comes from knowing they’re well taken care of.

Grooming, Bathing, and More

Alzheimer’s presents a person with any number of challenges. Not the least of which is grooming and hygiene. Our caregivers have plenty of experience in making sure that seniors look and feel their best. That means taking care of their hair, their toenails, shaving, and so forth. It also means important activities like bathing properly, soaping, shampoo, and more. Between razors, hot water, and more, there are any number of potential problems that could harm seniors. Our caregivers know how to keep your seniors safe and hygienic. Then, our caregivers can make sure that your seniors are dressed properly, too.

Medicine, Housekeeping, and Beyond

It can be difficult for those with dementia to keep their home neat, clean, and safe. In addition to all of their other duties, our caregivers can handle all of the basic housekeeping. From cleaning the fridge, doing the laundry, mowing the lawn, helping with the pets, or anything else, they can make the house a home again, so to speak. Seniors may struggle with remembering to take the proper medication at the proper time, too, so our caregivers can step in on this front as well. If you’ve been looking for help for someone you love, we’re always glad to be of service. You can reach us at (310)-880-1931.
